Haunebu 1 & 2
These German saucers, as well as alien craft
with gravity drives, have the ability to hover at
different angles.  This makes sense if they
were trying to land in a spot straight below
them.  This is the only way they could see the
ground is to tilt the craft forward.
The massive Do-Stra Haunebu II class, signed off for military
engagement.  Two produced.  Built by Dornier.

THIS VERSION ABOVE, THE HAUNEBU II-A, IS MY FAVORITE OF THE SHAPES, BUT I BELIEVE IT HAD ISSUES.  THEY REMOVED THE GUN TURRET
UNDER THE BELLY DUE TO INSTABILITY ISSUES, THEN DISCONTINUED IT.  IT HAD THE SMALLEST DIAMETER SKIRT OR BELL SECTION.  THE
REST BECAME VERY MUCH LARGER ON THE LOWER OUTER DIAMETER, WHICH MEANS THE GYRO INSIDE INCREASED IN SIZE, WHICH MEANS
PERFORMANCE WAS INPROVED WITH A BIGGER GYRO FOR THAT SIZE OF CREW COMPARTMENT.  SPEEDS FOR THE LATER VERSION HAUNEBU
II WAS UP TO 6,000 KPH, HORIZONTAL FLIGHT IN-ATMOSPHERE.  THE HAUNEBU II-A ABOVE IS SHOWN IN ONE PHOTO WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A
JATO ASSIST ROCKET LAUNCHER TO GET IT AIRBORN.  ANOTHER PHOTO SHOWS IT UNDER A BALLOON, BEING LIFTED UP.  SO IT MUST HAVE
HAD A VERY POOR TAKE-OFF PERFORMANCE, WHERE AS THE LATER VERSIONS SEEMED TO TAKE OFF QUITE FINE.
This appears to be the Haunebu III captured over a lake in
Europe after WWII had ended.  Photo on the right appears to
be a tank with the Haunebu III behind it.  The HIII was
mammoth with the ability to lift 72 people total.  It was referred
to as rescue airlift craft for when the German borders fell.  It
was also believed it went to Japan in the hopes that the
Japanese people could put it to use in the 'axis' war effort.
Shipments of Mercury necessary for flying the Haunebu were
intercepted that were going to Japan.  These shipments were
being sent via U-Boot submarines.  We also know that
massive shipments of Mercury were also sent to Base 211 in
Antarctica which had thousands and thousands of people
living there since the mid 1930's.
